Fans of Miku and Adobe know there have been two collaborations in the past. The first was a set of tutorials, while the second was a series of illustrations featuring the abilities of Creative Cloud products. Now, there’s a third part to this exciting collaboration! The Adobe x Hatsune Miku “MIKU DANCING FES” collaboration is kicking things up a notch.
About the Collab
While fans have seen what Creative Cloud products can do, this part of the collab is inviting these fans to try out a brand new tool called the “Dancing Miku Maker” for themselves! It’s challenging them to pull out Photoshop or Illustrator, and make a Miku of their own dance for a celebratory movie!
Miku Miku Dance Download Free Download It is always recommended that you download software from its official source. Any version outside of VPVP is likely an illegitimate version. It is not recommended to use e-mail to send Miku dance motions as their file sizes might exceed the regular mail servers capacity. Many Miku dance motions are available on a several web site now, I'd rather like to tell you that you visit the site like this: deviantART-Motion Data Index A-L and find your favorite one by yourself.
This movie will be released on August 31st, Miku’s birthday! In addition, it’ll feature the full version of “Souzou Telepathy” by HachiojiP.
How to Enter
Entering requires a bit of effort, but that’s to be expected when you’re drawing! First, you’ll want to make sure that you have either Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop. If you don’t, don’t worry! Free trials are available for both.
If you’re unfamiliar with these products, the collab website offers a small description to help you decide which one is right for you.
Photoshop is for people who want to draw however they would like. Illustrator is for those who would like to draw using basic shapes.
Once you have one of those programs, it’s on to the next step.
Download the Special Templates
These templates will be what you use to help you draw Miku. Make sure your illustrations stay within the guidelines. You can download the templates on the website here by scrolling down or simply click here. It’ll download a zip folder with all three templates inside.

Draw Miku!
Open up Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop and get cracking! Use the lines on the template to help you determine where the joints will go. (Feel free to look at the picture above as reference.) In addition, make sure none of your artwork goes outside of the guidelines. Anything outside of them will not show!
When you’re done, save the image as a transparent background PNG.
Upload to “Dancing Miku Maker”
This won’t be released until July 15th, so be sure to keep an eye out! Once it opens, we’ll let you know and give a full report on it.
Complete with a Dance!
Once Dancing Miku Maker is made available, you will able to upload your illustration to it, and watch your seemingly still image of Miku come to life and start dancing!

Appear in the Celebration Movie
If you upload and submit a dancing Miku to Dancing Miku Maker between July 15th and August 14th, you’ll be able to see her appear in the 10th anniversary celebratory movie on August 31st!

But that’s not all! There’s also a special font available for download as well. It’s available in the same zip file as the templates. You can scroll down to the giant blue button on the collab website or by clicking here. Please note that the file available is an Adobe Illustrator file, not an actual typeface file.

Saboten - No Editing. Must provide link to their blog in order to distribute a model.
Lat -Editing allowed. Distribution of edited models must include some credit to Lat. Must provide link to their blog in order to distribute her original model.
Piron - No Editing. Only link to their blog to give models.
Kio - No Editing without permission. Only give edited models with permission. Must provide link to their blog in order to distribute a model.
Enamel Toy Box - Editing allowed, but you have to make it very clear that the original was Enamel Toy Box's. You have to recieve permission from them to distribute said edit. Must provide link to their blog in order to distribute the original models.
SaYaKa Project - No Editing. Must provide link to their blog in order to distribute a model.
Pon - Unsure of rules. My computer cannot display the readme correctly. Assume that no editing is allowed. Assume that you must provide link to their blog in order to distribute a model.
Anomaro- Editing allowed with permission. Must recieve permission from Anomaro to distribute models. Must provide link to their blog in order to distribute the original models.
Isao Editing allowed. Not allowed to distribute edited models at all. Must provide link to their blog in order to distribute the original models.
Nanami[Distribution Ended] - No Editing allowed. No Distribution of models allowed.
Next to each is a brief explanation of their rules. Under no circumstance should this replace the readme file. You are still responsible to read the rules that come written with the model.
Here you guys go! A list of the blogs of popular model makers. Here is where you can find a collection of all their models. If I missed any (and I know I did. Still adding. heart), please feel free to send me the link. It will be added to the first page immediately! Updates to the rules are also very welcome!
And please, for the love of goodness, follow their rules. They made free models, and allowed the MMD community to use them. The least you could do is respect their rules. Ignoring the request of the model maker is what caused Nanami to stop distribution, making his models unavailable. I believe that this is reason enough to respect their wishes.

Here is where to buy the Windows 100% Model Starter pack. It contains Kei's Kittyler(Rio), Black Rock Shooter, Totori, Sora Amaha(Short Kimono Ver.), Aries, Aqua, SF-A2 Miki(Kio), Gumi, Neon, Hikari, and the Chibi Animal group.

A couple other ways to find new models are:
-Go to youtube. Type in 'MMD newcomer,' and click search. Click search options, and then upload date. This gives you the newest videos that have a new MMD model in them.
-Go to deviantart. Type in 'MMD newcomer,' and click search.

Thank you for helping out! My computer wouldn't process some of the read me files that came with the models, nor on the website, so I had to go off of what boards dedicated to MMD said. I appreciate the help! I just went with what seemed the safest on the time on those I was unsure of, and based on what redistribution of edited models I had seen go without complaint.
I hadn't had the time to find ISAO's page yet, so it hadn't been added yet. I'll take the time to do that now. |
